Job Overview: A leading law firm, located in Short Hills, NJ, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its dynamic Litigation group. Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on case progress.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and legal staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants to strengthen case strategy and arguments.
• Assist in fact development, including preparing for and conducting depositions.
• Review and draft discovery responses, legal briefs, motions, and memoranda with a focus on clarity and precision.
• Contribute to the development and execution of case strategy, ensuring alignment with clients’ objectives.
• Engage in research and analysis to support case preparation and legal arguments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, ideally gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• A strong academic background, with a JD and excellent credentials from nationally recognized law schools.
• A science-related degree (MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology) is required.
• Bar admission to practice in New Jersey.
• Proven experience in products liability and/or complex commercial litigation, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Additional degrees in science (MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology) are required.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
