Job Overview: A law firm located in Rancho Cucamonga is seeking an experienced Post-Conviction Relief Attorney to join their team. Duties:

• Provide legal guidance to clients regarding their rights and responsibilities
• Manage post-conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce sentences, and early termination of probation
• Represent clients in motion hearings and advise them on strategic next steps following hearings
• Assist with criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencing, in collaboration with other attorneys
• Draft motions, manage court appearances, interview clients, and conduct legal research
• Analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents and strategic considerations
• Effectively manage and prioritize a caseload
• Provide clients with legal analysis and identify potential benefits for their cases

Requirements:

• Experience in criminal defense or immigration law, or a combination of both
• Proven experience handling criminal cases at the state and local level
• Ability to work collaboratively and support colleagues in a team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in California
