Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Tech Transactions and Data Privacy Associate Attorney with a focus on incident response. This role involves advising clients on complex legal issues related to data privacy and handling privacy-related litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, deep knowledge of privacy laws, and the ability to manage all phases of case preparation and trial. The attorney will work on sophisticated matters with immediate client interaction, offering practical, business-oriented legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of privacy-related litigation, from case work-up to trial preparation.
  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of tech transactions and data privacy issues, including incident response and compliance.
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research on federal, state, and international privacy laws to support client cases and firm initiatives.
  • Engage with clients to provide practical, business-focused legal advice on tech transactions and privacy matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to ensure effective case strategy and client representation.
  • Stay current on evolving data privacy regulations and laws, advising clients on compliance with privacy standards.
  • Handle multiple client matters simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards of work and communication.
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives to improve service delivery in tech transactions and data privacy practices.
  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while ensuring client confidentiality and legal compliance.

Requirements:

  • Significant litigation experience, including managing all aspects of case work-up and trial preparation.
  • Strong legal research and writing experience, with a proven track record of drafting briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.
  • Knowledge and experience with federal, state, and international privacy laws, including incident response.
  • Ability to offer practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a law firm or similar professional environment, handling sophisticated legal matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Admission to the State Bar of Arizona or eligibility for admission.
