A leading law firm in Prairie Village, KS, is seeking a Senior Corporate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The firm specializes in corporate law, handling business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and general corporate matters for a diverse range of clients. As a Senior Corporate Attorney, you will take on a leadership role in managing high-stakes corporate cases and mentoring junior attorneys while contributing to the firm’s growth and success.

Duties:

  • Lead legal teams and provide mentorship to junior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests.
  • Advise and represent clients in legal proceedings, ensuring favorable outcomes.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Oversee complex mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions from start to finish.
  • Offer general counsel services to clients, with a focus on corporate governance, compliance, and intellectual property.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with expert legal advice.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities for the firm.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and firm growth.

Requirements:

  • An active member in good standing with the local and state bar associations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior associate attorney.
  • Proven experience in managing corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior attorneys.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in business development and a solid network of industry contacts is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar admission and in good standing.
