Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a talented Junior to Mid-Level Antitrust Associate Attorney to join their expanding antitrust practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2-4 years of experience in antitrust law, particularly with exposure to civil conduct, merger investigations, and litigation. The successful candidate will have experience working with the Department of Justice (DOJ) or Federal Trade Commission (FTC), or in handling matters related to these agencies.

Duties:

  • Handle civil conduct investigations, including merger and joint venture analyses.
  • Manage antitrust investigations and represent clients in litigation, particularly involving Sections 1, 2, and 7 of antitrust laws.
  • Draft motions, and briefs, and participate in depositions and witness preparation.
  • Work on complex regulatory issues in industries such as telecommunications and the Internet.
  • Advise clients on antitrust compliance, particularly in areas related to product pricing and distribution.
  • Participate in high-stakes DOJ, FTC, FCC, and state attorney general investigations.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing team to achieve successful outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in antitrust law, particularly with DOJ or FTC-related matters.
  • Strong background in litigation, particularly in antitrust-related cases.
  • Experience with civil conduct and merger investigations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform insightful legal research and analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Washington, DC (or eligibility to waive into DC).
