A law firm seeks a versatile Real Estate Finance Associate to join its team in Dallas. This attorney will primarily focus on structuring and advising on real estate joint ventures, managing complex transactions from initial negotiations through to closing. The ideal candidate will be adept in both joint venture agreements and real estate tax functions, providing clients with comprehensive legal support.

Duties

  • Manage real estate joint venture transactions, including negotiating term sheets and preparing joint venture agreements.
  • Assess risks and advise on ownership structures and terms that align with clients’ investment objectives.
  • Conduct tax due diligence and offer guidance on tax-efficient transactional structuring as a secondary responsibility.
  • Provide comprehensive support to clients in maximizing investment returns while navigating the complexities of real estate law.
  • Balance multiple functions across high-stakes projects, ensuring all aspects of transactions are handled efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in real estate transactions and joint venture agreements.
  • Strong understanding of tax law as it relates to real estate finance.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to work on complex legal matters.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
