A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Family Law Partner/Attorney to join its expanding team. Duties:

  • Prepare and draft family law-related documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients, assessing their needs and recommending appropriate courses of action.
  • Represent clients in family law court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
  • Take over portions of existing family law cases while managing new cases from consultation to trial as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • Engage in client development activities to grow the practice, with the support of the firm’s resources.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law, with additional experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently and make sound legal decisions.
  • Trial experience in family law cases.
  • Strong written, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent research and legal writing skills.
  • An existing book of business is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
