Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload, focusing on personal injury and select workers' compensation cases from pre-trial through to trial.
  • Represent clients in both District and Circuit courts, as well as before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission.
  • Negotiate claims for injured workers and motor vehicle accident victims.
  • Conduct discovery and client interviews (in-person, virtual, or telephonic).
  • Draft motions, legal memos, and appeals related to personal injury and workers' compensation cases.
  • Collaborate with a legal team and assist with community outreach initiatives when necessary.
  • Pursue ongoing legal education to enhance litigation skills.
  • Provide respectful and clear guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the firm.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, especially in a private practice setting, with the willingness to go the extra mile for clients while maintaining personal boundaries.
  • Willingness to handle a variety of personal injury cases and clients.
  • Willingness to learn workers' compensation fundamentals, including hearings and appeals.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Genuine desire to assist clients and a client-focused mindset.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must have a Maryland Bar license.
  • A D.C. or Virginia Bar license is a plus.
