Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle a variety of collection and litigation matters. This position requires a motivated legal professional with exceptional analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills who thrives in a high-volume caseload environment. The role involves managing cases from demand through judgment while ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and client service.

Duties:

  • Manage breach of contract and collection litigation cases from initiation to resolution.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, both telephonic and in person.
  • Draft, prepare, and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.
  • Maintain a caseload efficiently to meet performance goals and client expectations.
  • Address escalated and urgent matters promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar admission in the state of California.
  • Experience with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is an advantage.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from a recognized institution.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar license.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research using various tools and platforms.
  • Skilled in using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a substantial caseload effectively.
