A well-established law firm based in Charlotte, NC is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Services Associate Attorney to join their financial services practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in transactional law, with a particular focus on syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle complex financial matters, work alongside a team of highly experienced professionals, and contribute to the firm’s long-term success.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on a wide range of financial services matters, including syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate financial documents and agreements for clients involved in complex financial transactions.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on regulatory and compliance issues related to financial services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Manage multiple matters and client relationships simultaneously, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and legal developments in financial services law.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in transactional law, particularly in financial services or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of syndicated credit facilities, leveraged finance, and other financial instruments.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent academic background and strong analytical abilities.
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar (preferably North Carolina).

Skills:

  • Expertise in transactional finance law and syndicated credit facilities.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial transactions and provide sound legal advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
