Trademark Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a skilled and dedicated Trademark Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in trademark law, including expertise in trademark searching, global trademark strategy development, and both domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough trademark searches and analyses to assess the registrability and risk of trademarks.
• Develop and implement global trademark strategies for clients.
• Manage domestic and international trademark prosecution, including preparing and filing trademark applications, responses to office actions, and oppositions.
• Enforce trademark rights through cease-and-desist letters, negotiations, and litigation as necessary.
• Represent clients in TTAB proceedings, including appeals and cancellations.
• Address and manage online and social media enforcement issues, including monitoring and addressing potential infringements.
• Handle UDRP proceedings related to domain name disputes.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on trademark portfolio management and strategy.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including opinions, agreements, and reports.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trademark law and developments.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in trademark law.
• Demonstrated experience with trademark searching, global trademark strategy, and both domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Experience with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings is a plus.
• Superior writing and communication skills.
• Foreign language skills are highly valued.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in at least one state.

Certifications:

• Certified in intellectual property law or a related specialty (preferred).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
