Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: A premier law firm located in Austin, TX, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Immigration Attorney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated legal team to manage a diverse caseload, provide legal counsel, and represent clients in immigration matters. Duties:

  • Provide legal representation for detained and non-detained individuals in immigration courts and during appeals processes.
  • Conduct consultations with clients to explain immigration laws and propose strategic legal solutions.
  • Handle a variety of immigration cases, including family-based petitions and removal defense.
  • Visit detention centers for client intake and consultations.
  • Prepare and review immigration applications, ensuring all legal documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to keep informed on changes in immigration laws.
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and interviews with USCIS.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong case management skills with a proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian applications, EOIR processes, and USCIS procedures.
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar and good standing.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • A strong team player, able to collaborate and contribute to the success of the firm.
