Personal Injury Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an Associate Personal Injury Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will focus on case strategy, litigation, and professional development, rather than being burdened with time-consuming tasks typically assigned to newer lawyers. The role provides the opportunity to manage various personal injury cases, with mentorship from senior attorneys. Trial participation is expected, but the firm offers a structured transition into more advanced responsibilities, including trial work and mediations.

Location:

• Dallas, TX

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury litigation matters

• Prepare and draft legal documents, including complaints

• Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes

• Prepare clients for depositions and hearings

• Take and defend depositions throughout litigation

• Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions

• Attend court appearances and hearings

• Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases

• Direct and support investigations related to assigned litigation matters

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Personal Injury Law

• Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation and discovery

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

• Current good standing with the Texas State Bar

• Workers' Compensation experience is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas (current good standing with the Texas State Bar)

• Strong litigation, deposition, and courtroom advocacy skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to manage multiple cases independently
