Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-7 years of experience in general commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong research and brief writing skills, deposition experience, and the ability to participate in business development and client-facing activities. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Work closely with shareholders and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
• Participate in client meetings and business development efforts.
• Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Handle case management tasks and ensure adherence to deadlines and court procedures.
• Assist in arbitration and mediation proceedings as necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Florida, or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• 2-7 years of experience in general commercial litigation.
• Strong research and brief writing skills.
• Deposition experience and proficiency in case management.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
