A law firm seeks to hire an experienced attorney to join its expanding aviation finance and commercial aviation team. This position is ideal for candidates with 4-6 years of expertise in representing lenders and/or lessors in the leasing, purchase, sale, and financing of commercial aircraft. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead both domestic and cross-border transactions. Strong academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal skills are required. Duties:

  • Represent lenders and lessors in commercial aircraft leasing, purchase, sale, and financing transactions
  • Lead domestic and cross-border transactions involving aviation finance
  • Negotiate, draft, and review contracts and other transactional documents
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients in the aviation sector
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive client objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting the aviation finance industry

Requirements:

  • 4-6+ years of experience in aviation finance, specifically in leasing, purchase, sale, and financing of commercial aircraft
  • Experience leading domestic and cross-border transactions is preferred
  • Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent degree)
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred, but other jurisdictions may be considered
  • Strong academic performance and excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Effective client relationship management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in North Carolina or another jurisdiction is preferred
