Job Overview: A law firm in Reno, NV, is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases and provide legal representation to clients throughout litigation processes.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and provide accurate legal advice to clients regarding workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients at hearings, trials, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
  • 2 years of experience in workers' compensation litigation.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws, legal principles, and litigation procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and case analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful case management and settlement negotiations.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution approved by the American Bar Association.
  • Licensed attorney in the State of Nevada with membership in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
