Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a skilled and dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to join their growing team. As an Associate Attorney, you will manage a diverse caseload, work directly with clients, and be involved in both removal defense and family-based immigration matters.

Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of complex immigration issues and offer strategic legal solutions.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings, including non-detained and detained individuals, before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Effectively manage a caseload and ensure timely completion of case tasks.
• Conduct intake meetings with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.
• Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration application packets as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to stay informed on changes in immigration law.
• Conduct consultations with prospective clients to determine case strategy.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony before the court or USCIS.
• Provide thorough legal analysis to identify potential benefits for clients’ cases.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for diverse immigration matters.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and client management skills.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and drive legal cases forward.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle a high volume of cases.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) preferred.
