The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance transactions, with a focus on syndicated and middle-market lending, along with a deep understanding of Article 9 of the UCC. The role involves working on various finance transactions, offering valuable exposure to both lenders and borrowers, with opportunities for hands-on experience in leading transactional documentation and closings.

Duties:

  • Handle a range of finance transactions, including syndicated lending and middle-market lending transactions
  • Apply expertise in Article 9 of the UCC to advise clients on secured transactions
  • Manage and lead transactional documentation and closing processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to devise creative solutions for complex finance-related matters
  • Advise on and assist in workout situations involving both lenders and borrowers
  • Stay current on trends and changes in finance law to provide informed advice to clients
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions and contribute to team success

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of finance-related legal experience, with an emphasis on syndicated lending, middle-market lending, and Article 9 of the UCC
  • Prior experience working on finance transactions representing both lenders and borrowers, especially in workout situations
  • Strong academic record with a proven ability to handle complex legal matters
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead projects and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas, or must obtain licensure within one year of joining the firm
