Duties:

  • Manage and handle cases from start to finish, including case analysis, settlement negotiation, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, primarily focused on insurance defense.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure thorough and effective case management.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trial proceedings as necessary.
  • Develop and implement case strategies and assist in settlement negotiations.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and handle complex legal issues.
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Florida (Florida Bar).

Skills:

  • Experience in Florida civil litigation, preferably insurance defense.
  • Excellent legal writing and grammar skills.
  • Ability to handle case management and litigation tasks independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
