Job Overview: A law firm located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Immigration Attorney to join their expanding team. Duties:

• Provide expert legal guidance on immigration-related matters and offer strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely progression of cases.
• Conduct intake sessions with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and file immigration petitions, including removal defense and family-based applications.
• Review and revise immigration applications to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations to address changes in immigration law.
• Lead strategic immigration consultations with potential clients to determine the best legal course of action.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS testimony.
• Offer legal analysis and advice to clients regarding potential benefits and options in their cases.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration-related cases.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in immigration law.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bilingual skills (preferably in English and Spanish) are highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven track record of successfully managing legal cases and caseloads.
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained clients, citizenship applications, and other USCIS procedures.
• Proficiency with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of California.

Certifications:

• Licensed attorney in the state of California.

• In-depth knowledge of immigration law and legal procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and provide sound legal advice.
