Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to represent clients in complex residential and commercial foreclosure matters, title disputes, and general real estate litigation. The role requires an individual with strong litigation experience, who can manage high-stakes cases, perform court appearances, and draft legal documents. The attorney will handle consumer claims, manage case strategies, and collaborate with both internal teams and clients. This position offers flexibility in working arrangements, including in-office, hybrid, or fully remote options, depending on the candidate’s qualifications.

Duties:

• Represent mortgage servicers and investors in contested foreclosure cases, defensive litigation, and other real estate-related matters.
• Oversee commercial foreclosure cases from initiation to resolution.
• Review and analyze loan documents, title reports, and other relevant client materials.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Participate in court proceedings such as case management conferences, motion arguments, trials, hearings, and appeals.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure strategic objectives are met, including handling client communications via online platforms.
• Work closely with support staff to prepare and file necessary documentation.
• Provide legal research and strategic analysis to support case resolutions and client advisement.
• Develop matter budgets, obtain client approval for fees, and track both billable and non-billable hours.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar license in New York (required).
• Additional Bar licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and/or Connecticut are a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant litigation experience preferred, though candidates with fewer years may be considered if they demonstrate strong qualifications.
• In-depth knowledge of New York Mortgage Foreclosure Law and related practices is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• A Bar license in New York is required.
• Bar licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut are advantageous.
