A prominent law firm based in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in various criminal law matters, managing multiple cases, and navigating different stages of the legal process. Proficiency in Spanish is essential, and candidates with a Virginia Bar license will be given additional consideration. Duties:

• Represent clients in a wide array of criminal matters
• Handle multiple cases simultaneously at different stages of the criminal legal process
• Provide legal counsel and advocacy in court hearings, negotiations, and trials
• Conduct legal research and draft necessary legal documents and pleadings
• Work closely with clients to develop strong defense strategies tailored to their case
• Collaborate with colleagues and external parties as required

Requirements:

• Must hold an active Maryland Bar license (required)
• Virginia Bar license is a plus but not mandatory
• Fluency in Spanish (required)
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Must be admitted to practice law in Maryland

Certifications:

• Maryland Bar admission required
• Virginia Bar admission preferred
