Job Title: Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be involved in a wide range of challenging employment-based immigration matters, including EB-1, PERM, H-1B, L-1, E-1, E-2, O-1, and EB-5, as well as federal court challenges to delays and denials. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely.

Duties:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of employment-based immigration cases, including immigrant and non-immigrant filings with USCIS, DOL, and the Department of State.
  • Prepare and file petitions and applications, assessing eligibility and developing supporting evidence.
  • Draft, review, and revise petitions/applications for H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM Labor Certification audit responses, and RFEs.
  • Draft persuasive correspondence to government agencies and respond to requests for evidence.
  • Conduct thorough research to support complex cases for large corporate clients.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of clients' industries and provide tailored advice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve client issues and improve case outcomes.
  • Communicate with clients and foreign nationals on procedural matters and case strategy.
  • Support immigration program management and compliance for clients.
  • Supervise paralegal staff in document preparation and case management tasks.
  • Contribute to enhancing practice processes for team efficiency.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Admission to the bar in at least one state.
  • Prior experience managing corporate immigration accounts.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and maintain a positive work culture.
  • Skilled at reviewing and editing the work of support staff.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with immigration-specific case management software is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission is required.
