Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and asset division.
  • Handle significant client contact, ensuring clear communication and consistent client updates.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Prepare legal documents, including petitions, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to deliver excellent client service.
  • Participate in firm initiatives focused on business development and expanding the firm's family law practice.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Texas family law.
  • Confidence and experience in the courtroom, including trials and hearings.
  • Familiarity with the Texas Family Code and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Experience in negotiation and mediation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and creativity in addressing legal challenges.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Texas family law and procedures.
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and mediation skills.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other attorneys.
  • Proficient with legal technology and case management software.
