A prominent law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-9 years of experience to join its Washington, DC office. Duties

  • Draft pleadings, briefs, and motions for state and federal court litigation.
  • Conduct discovery, including depositions and drafting/arguing discovery motions.
  • Manage multiple, time-sensitive projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members on litigation strategies and case management.
  • Take ownership of significant projects and work independently as required.
  • Represent clients in insurance recovery matters (preferred).

Requirements

  • 3-9 years of experience in litigation, with a strong background in drafting and discovery.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in insurance recovery for policyholders is a plus but not mandatory.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the DC Bar or eligibility to apply for DC Bar admission.

Skills

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work well within a team and take initiative on projects.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
