A law firm seeks a skilled Business Immigration Attorney to join its Lexington, MA office. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with a passion for immigration law and a desire to work in a supportive and dynamic environment. The role involves handling various immigration applications and maintaining strong client relationships.

Duties

  • Prepare various immigration applications, including employment-based and family-based petitions.
  • Facilitate the collection of necessary documents and information from clients during application preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with potential clients during the intake process and maintain ongoing contact with existing clients regarding their cases.
  • Correspond with USCIS and other government agencies to ensure timely processing of applications.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the firm’s immigration practice.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in the United States.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or an equivalent foreign degree.
  • 2-3 years of experience in immigration law is preferred, but not mandatory. Experience in employment-based non-immigrant (e.g., H-1, L-1, O-1) and immigrant matters (e.g., EB-1, EB-2, NIW, EB-3, PERM), as well as family-based cases (e.g., I-130, I-485, I-751) is beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in technology.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution or equivalent.

Certifications

  • Active membership in a U.S. State Bar Association is required.

Skills

  • Proficient in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
