Duties:

  • Litigation Defense: Defend financial institutions in state and federal court matters, including single-plaintiff litigation and appeals.
  • Case Management: Manage complex litigation cases from inception through resolution, including preparing legal strategies and handling discovery.
  • Legal Writing: Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address legal concerns.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
  • Research: Conduct detailed legal research to support case arguments and strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies and manage workloads.

Requirements:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Admission to the Indiana Bar is required. Admission to the Illinois Bar is a plus (required for candidates working remotely from Illinois).
  • Experience: 2-4 years of litigation experience, with a focus on financial services, contested foreclosure, or Illinois commercial litigation.
  • Skills:
