Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Trust And Estates Associate Attorney to assist with the creation and implementation of wealth preservation strategies, business succession planning, and family-office planning.

Job Details:

  • Assist with creating and implementing wealth preservation strategies, business succession planning, and family-office planning.
  • Have 2-5 years of sophisticated income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning experience for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Prior experience drafting estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, and irrevocable trusts, such as intentionally defective grantor trusts, is required.
  • Experience with probate and trust and estate administration is preferred.
  • Experience assisting in preparing IRS Form 709 (United States Gift (and Generation-Skipping Transfer)) Tax Returns and IRS Form 706 Federal Estate Tax Returns is desirable.
  • Prior law firm private practice experience is a must.
  • A degree in accounting, a CPA license, or an LL.M. in Tax is strongly preferred.
  • Must have excellent academic and employment credentials.
  • Must possess superior writing capabilities and thorough legal research prowess.
