This position offers an opportunity to manage various aspects of patent prosecution while developing skills in other areas of intellectual property practice.

Duties

• Prepare and draft patent applications for innovative technologies.
• Conduct patent prosecution before the USPTO, ensuring thorough and precise documentation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their technological innovations and intellectual property needs.
• Research and analyze complex technical and legal matters related to patent filings.
• Provide counsel on patent strategy and portfolio management.
• Review and evaluate client patent portfolios to ensure comprehensive protection.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• USPTO registration or eligibility for prompt registration.
• Background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 0-10 years of patent prosecution experience within a legal setting.
• Experience drafting patent applications is mandatory.

Education

• Bachelor or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Membership in a State Bar Association.
