Job Overview:
A law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Immigration Attorney for an Associate position. Duties:

• Advise clients on immigration law and develop tailored strategies for their cases.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals, including both detained and non-detained individuals.
• Manage a caseload of diverse immigration matters, including family-based immigration and removal defense.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and file immigration applications, petitions, and legal briefs for a range of immigration-related matters.
• Review and revise immigration application packets to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
• Work closely with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on evolving immigration policies.
• Provide strategic consultations to potential clients, helping them understand their legal options.
• Develop case strategies, prepare clients and witnesses for hearings, and assist with testimony preparation.
• Analyze client cases to identify potential benefits or risks.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience practicing immigration law.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and work independently.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Experience in family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, and applications before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and USCIS.
• Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide clear, concise advice to clients.
• High-level interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and a team-oriented approach.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Certifications:

• Bar Admission in Florida is required.
