The role involves representing clients in estate and trust administration, probate litigation, and tax controversies related to estate and gift tax matters.

Job Duties:

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies to achieve their financial and personal goals.
  • Draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and trust income tax returns.
  • Represent clients in estate and trust administration matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and fiduciary duties.
  • Handle probate litigation proceedings and tax controversies involving estate and gift tax matters.
  • Provide ongoing legal counsel to clients and their fiduciaries, maintaining exceptional client service standards.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 3-10 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a focus on estate planning and administration.
  • LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred; substantial experience may be considered in lieu of an LL.M.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or willingness to sit for The Florida Bar exam in the near future is required.
  • Florida Bar Board Certification in trusts and estates law is preferred.
