Mid-level Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Mid-level Litigation Attorney with 2-4 years of experience for a partner-track position. This role offers mentorship from experienced attorneys and fosters an environment that promotes independence and a healthy work-life balance.

Duties

• Serve as the primary attorney contact for clients in litigation matters
• Assess potential clients for conflicts of interest and suitability
• Provide litigation support, including motions and trial practice in state and federal courts
• Delegate tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines
• Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and team members
• Oversee paralegals and support staff to ensure quality client services
• Conduct legal research, cite checking, and draft various legal documents
• Make court appearances and represent clients in trials

Requirements

• Admission to the Virginia Bar is required; Maryland State Bar admission is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in state or federal courts

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

Certifications

• Active Virginia state bar license (additional certifications preferred)
