Job Overview: A respected law firm in Franklin, TN, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Personal Injury Trial Attorney. This role offers a dynamic environment where attorneys can work on complex personal injury cases from intake through trial. The position provides the opportunity to collaborate with a nationwide team of experienced attorneys and support staff. The attorney will handle various litigation tasks, including depositions, client communications, and courtroom representation, while receiving the support needed to effectively represent clients.

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from intake through trial or settlement.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and guidance.
  • Conduct and defend depositions and other discovery activities.
  • Develop comprehensive case strategies and lead negotiations.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
  • Attend mediations and settlement conferences.
  • Present cases in court, including jury trials.
  • Collaborate with local and national attorneys and support staff for case management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
  • Proven success as the first chair in jury trials.
  • Active licensure and good standing with the Tennessee State Bar.
  • Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
  • Experience with drafting and responding to legal motions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee.
