A law firm is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elder Law Attorney to provide compassionate legal guidance to senior clients. This position is ideal for an attorney interested in specializing in estate planning, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and probate law. Duties

  • Advise clients on elder law matters, including wills, trusts, advance directives, and powers of attorney.
  • Assist with Medicaid planning, asset protection strategies, and long-term care arrangements.
  • Represent clients in guardianship and probate proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and draft tailored documents to meet client needs.
  • Stay current with developments in elder law and incorporate best practices into client services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive, client-centered solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Passion for elder law and a commitment to serving the needs of aging individuals and their families.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and compassionately.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and relevant software applications.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.

  • Expertise or interest in wills, trusts, and estate law.
  • Knowledge in Medicaid planning, guardianships, and probate law.
  • Ability to conduct detailed legal research and drafting.
