The ideal candidate will represent clients in legal proceedings, negotiate settlements, and prepare comprehensive legal documents. This role requires efficiently managing a caseload and maintaining high-quality work, particularly in high-pressure situations.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in settlement conferences
  • Manage and supervise junior associates, paralegals, and legal support staff
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case developments
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions of witnesses and experts
  • Attend court hearings and argue motions before judges
  • Review and analyze case files and evidence to develop case strategies
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with a focus on complex litigation matters
  • Proven track record of successful case management and litigation strategy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
