Labor and Employment Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to manage and represent public entities in various labor-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and labor negotiations, with the ability to handle complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Conduct workplace investigations and disciplinary hearings.
• Represent clients in labor negotiations and employment litigation.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on discrimination and other labor practice claims.
• Draft and review employment contracts and workplace conduct manuals.
• Update and create policies related to employment and labor issues.
• Collaborate effectively with agency staff and elected officials.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters.
• Strong writing skills and initiative.
• Experience working with public entities preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in California.
