A law firm based in Raleigh is seeking a Mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience advising clients on the purchase, sale, and financing of real estate assets, including real estate due diligence and leasing transactions. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities for increased responsibility and client contact. Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm practice and home builder experience are strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on the purchase, sale, and financing of real estate assets.
  • Conduct real estate due diligence and oversee leasing transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to manage real estate projects and transactions.
  • Draft and review various real estate documents, including contracts, agreements, and closing documents.
  • Assist with negotiations and client communications.
  • Provide strategic advice on real estate matters and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate various aspects of real estate transactions from inception to closing.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in real estate law, including advising on purchases, sales, financing, due diligence, and leasing transactions.
  • Experience in a sophisticated law firm practice is strongly preferred.
  • Home builder experience is also preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong academic credentials and a commitment to providing high-quality client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance in real estate law courses.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of North Carolina.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently.
