Immigration Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Fall River, MA is seeking a skilled and dedicated Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves handling a diverse caseload, representing clients in immigration proceedings, and working with USCIS on various petitions and applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in immigration law, including experience with EOIR proceedings and USCIS applications, and will be able to provide expert legal advice and support to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in immigration proceedings before EOIR, including hearings, motions, and appeals.
• Prepare and file applications, petitions, and responses with USCIS.
• Conduct thorough legal research and provide sound legal advice on complex immigration issues.
• Work closely with clients to gather evidence, prepare case documentation, and develop legal strategies.
• Collaborate with team members to create and implement effective case strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations to ensure accurate and effective representation.
• Manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law (any state).
• Demonstrated experience in immigration law, including handling cases before EOIR and USCIS.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and client management abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Portuguese.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in any state.
