A law firm is seeking an Attorney to join their team in Boca Raton. The Attorney will serve as lead counsel representing appellants before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional legal research, analysis, and writing skills, along with a strong sense of advocacy and a background in Veteran Law.

 

Duties:

  • Represent appellants before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
  • Thoroughly review the administrative record to ensure clients receive the best representation.
  • Conduct accurate legal research.
  • Draft compelling legal memoranda and briefs.
  • Engage in informal hearings with a strong sense of advocacy.
  • Deliver persuasive oral arguments.
  • Prepare detailed client reports and maintain open communication to discuss case progress.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in any state in good standing.
  • Eligibility to be barred at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
  • Accreditation with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • 2+ years of experience in Veteran Law.
  • Exceptional legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • A strong academic background.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Accreditation with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

 

Skills:

  • Veteran Law experience.
  • Legal research and analysis.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in Veteran Law.
