Job Title: Estate Planning Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Duxbury, MA, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its growing team. This role involves working with clients to design comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, and other related documents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently, and the drive to contribute to a supportive and professional environment.

Duties:

  • Draft customized estate plans, including wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and revocable and irrevocable trusts tailored to client needs and goals.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand estate planning requirements and provide legal advice.
  • Perform legal research and analysis of estate planning laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients with moderate to high-net-worth estates on asset protection and estate management.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and other staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Oversee multiple client files, ensuring follow-through and resolution of open items to move cases forward.
  • Record time and generate client invoices using Clio software.
  • Build trust with clients by maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience specializing in estate planning, estate administration, and elder law.
  • Proficiency in drafting estate planning documents such as wills and trusts.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid applications and Wealth Counsel is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed research and analytical abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional client communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of estate planning software, such as Wealth Counsel or Clio, is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
