Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This role is ideal for a driven, meticulous attorney eager to excel in a fast-paced legal environment. The position involves representing clients in legal proceedings, advising on legal rights and obligations, conducting legal research, and preparing legal documents. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, present cases, and manage a variety of legal matters.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to stay current with applicable laws and support cases

  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, and appeals

  • Assist senior attorneys in trial and hearing preparation

  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys

  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies

  • Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to determine case impact

  • Communicate with clients, judges, and opposing counsel professionally

  • Manage and organize case files and client records

  • Prepare legal correspondence and maintain comprehensive case files

  • Attend Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs to enhance legal knowledge and maintain professional competence

  • Gather evidence to formulate a defense or initiate legal action, including client and witness interviews

  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where the firm operates

  • 3+ years of experience in litigation (immigration experience preferred but not required)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

  • Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated collaborative team-working skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Active admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
