The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of meaningful tax experience, focusing on tax controversy and planning. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive plans for the transmission and protection of wealth, working closely with private wealth clients. The candidate should possess strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, and hold an L.L.M. in Taxation. Membership in the Florida Bar is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tax planning and advisory services to private wealth clients, focusing on wealth transmission and protection strategies.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient plans and strategies tailored to clients' financial goals.
  • Handle tax controversy matters, including representing clients in disputes with tax authorities.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and prepare detailed analysis on complex tax issues.
  • Draft and review tax-related documents, including trust agreements, wills, and tax compliance filings.
  • Collaborate with clients and other professionals to design and implement effective tax strategies.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.
  • Manage multiple client matters and projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • L.L.M. in Taxation from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of meaningful tax experience, with a focus on tax controversy and planning.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar and in good standing.
