Job Overview:

The Senior Criminal Defense Attorney will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and play a pivotal role in managing their caseload, client interactions, and collaboration with the Criminal Defense Team.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and meticulously prepare legal documents for their cases.
  • Represent clients at pretrial hearings, offering expert advice on optimal strategies post-hearing.
  • Oversee all court appearances, trials, motion drafting, witness interviews, and comprehensive legal research.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of legal precedents to analyze potential case outcomes.
  • Efficiently manage the workload of assigned cases, ensuring thorough attention to each.
  • Provide comprehensive legal analysis to ascertain any potential case benefits.
  • Gather supplementary evidence to bolster clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.
  • Prepare clients thoroughly for depositions, establishing crucial case strategy goals and gathering pertinent information from key witnesses and experts.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in Criminal Defense, demonstrating proficiency in handling complex cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is mandatory.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with associates.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
