Duties:

• Review and summarize medical records to advocate effectively for clients.
• Draft motions and attend hearings to represent clients in court.
• Prepare and attend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Draft legal reports including initial, interim, pre-trial, and appellate reports.
• Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
• Handle court appearances to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Manage the litigation process from claims handling through mediation, trial, and appeal.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.
• 3-10 years of experience in General Liability defense.
• Experience with defending auto, premises liability, and professional lines, including medical malpractice and long-term care.
• Strong litigation skills, including motion drafting, deposition handling, and trial preparation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Florida State Bar.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong research skills and proficiency in legal writing.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to manage complex legal cases with attention to detail.
• Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
