Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join their team. Duties:

• Manage and litigate a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Provide timely and accurate legal advice and representation to clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar in good standing.
• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, focusing on handling cases independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certification or specialization in civil litigation from a recognized legal organization or bar association.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Experience with eDiscovery software and litigation support tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
