A respected AV-Rated litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney to join its team in Concord, CA. The firm specializes in representing public entities such as cities, school districts, and other governmental agencies. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation experience and the opportunity to manage cases after one year. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage all phases of litigation, including initial investigations and written discovery
  • Conduct depositions and retain expert witnesses
  • Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations
  • Draft and argue pre-trial motions and submissions
  • Prepare for and represent clients at trial
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies
  • Draft dispositive motions and other legal documents

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience

  • Strong legal writing skills, particularly with dispositive motions
  • Ability to handle complex litigation and work collaboratively within a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Admission to the California State Bar
