Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney with extensive experience in marital and family law. This full-time remote position offers an opportunity to handle diverse cases related to family law, providing legal counsel and representation in various domestic matters. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the dissolution of marriage, child custody arrangements, asset division, and financial obligations.

Duties

• Represent clients in marital and family law cases, including divorce, paternity, and child support matters

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, financial affidavits, settlement agreements, and parenting plans

• Conduct discovery, review financial documents, and prepare case strategy

• Attend hearings, mediation sessions, and court proceedings

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials

• Manage caseload independently while maintaining deadlines and compliance with legal requirements

Requirements

• Active membership and good standing with The Florida Bar

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marital and family law

• Strong knowledge of family law statutes, legal procedures, and case law

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently in a high-volume environment

• Strong advocacy skills in negotiations and courtroom proceedings

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Florida
