Insurance & Reinsurance Associate

A law firm is currently seeking an Insurance and Reinsurance Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles office with 3-5 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience. The role will play a crucial role in handling insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. Attorney requires extensive civil litigation experience, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, managing all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice, conducting depositions, and making court appearances (commensurate with experience level). The ideal candidate will have experience with business development, client management, and independent case management. Excellent academic credentials and superior research and writing ability are essential.

Duties:

• Handle insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers insurance policies.
• Engage in extensive civil litigation.
• Draft pleadings and dispositive motions.
• Manage all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice.
• Conduct depositions and make court appearances (commensurate with experience level).
• Experience with business development and client management.
• Independently manage cases.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience.
• Understanding of insurance coverage issues.
• Extensive civil litigation experience.
• Experience with drafting pleadings and dispositive motions.
• Proficiency in all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
