Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney with a focus on mechanical engineering and related fields. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality intellectual property work within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

  • Draft patent applications and prosecute patents before the USPTO.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis in support of patent prosecution and related IP matters.
  • Collaborate with a team to develop intellectual property strategies for clients.
  • Provide advice on patent law and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client protection.
  • Handle additional IP-related matters as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in patent prosecution, including drafting applications.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Must be registered with the USPTO.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Georgia.
  • USPTO registration.
