Job Overview:

A law firm in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Tort and Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tort and insurance defense litigation and be able to handle immediate client contact and responsibilities. The position requires excellent communication skills, professional judgment, and managing multiple tasks independently.

Duties:

• Represent clients in tort and insurance defense cases, from initial consultation through trial.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies and case plans.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their rights and obligations.
• Negotiate settlements and handle all aspects of case management.
• Prepare and present arguments in court, including examining witnesses and presenting evidence.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Handle a significant caseload with efficiency and professionalism.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in New Jersey and New York.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in tort and insurance defense litigation.
• Proven track record of managing and resolving complex legal cases.
• Strong ability to handle immediate client contact and take on significant responsibilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in New Jersey and New York is required.
